Overview

George is a Senior Associate in WH Burkley’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group. He represents borrowers, lenders, debtors, creditors, insurers, and related parties in a wide range of matters involving insolvency proceedings, restructurings, and complex commercial litigation. He also advises buyers, sellers, and private equity sponsors in distressed mergers and acquisitions.

George’s practice spans all stages of insolvency, including workouts, commercial bankruptcy, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, dissolutions, wind-downs, and Article 9 foreclosures.

George began his legal career as a judicial extern for the Hon. Celeste F. Bremer in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa before serving as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Gregory L. Taddonio in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Before joining WH Burkley, he gained sophisticated experience practicing in the restructuring groups of international firms and a premier Delaware firm.
