Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. announced today that Co-Managing Partner, Robert S. Bernstein, has been selected by the American College of Bankruptcy to be inducted as a Fellow of the College. This is a prestigious honor awarded to only the top professionals who have exhibited exceptional contributions to the bankruptcy and insolvency practice. Bernstein joins 30 other inductees joining the College’s Class XXVII. Inductees reside in 19 different states and two foreign countries.

Arch W. Riley, Jr., an accomplished attorney with more than 30 years of experience in commercial bankruptcy law, has joined Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. as a partner in West Virginia, where the firm is expanding its creditors’ rights and bankruptcy and restructuring practice groups. Riley becomes the fifth Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. lawyer licensed to practice in West Virginia.
Riley has extensive experience in representing debtors and secured creditors in bankruptcy, as well as focusing on financial reconstructing and workouts, asset acquisitions, real estate and other related transactional areas of law. Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. is pleased to announce today that Kirk B. Burkley has been named a managing partner with the Pittsburgh-based firm. Burkley will co-manage the growing firm with Robert Bernstein, who has held the role of managing partner for more than 20 years.

In 1995, Bernstein became one of the youngest presidents of the CLLA, second only to the almost 120-year-old organization’s founder, William Sprague. Now Bernstein is poised to make history again by being the only member in more than 120 years to serve as the CLLA’s president more than once.
