Garrett’s presentation, “Deep Dive into Construction Contracts: Residential Construction in Ohio,” will examine the two primary residential construction transaction models in Ohio and the distinct legal considerations that arise under each. Drawing on current Ohio statutes, case law, and industry standards, Garrett will provide a practical framework for analyzing ownership and financing structures, construction and purchase agreements, warranties, consumer protection laws, mechanics’ liens, and risk allocation strategies in residential development projects.
