Overview

Joseph is an Associate in WH Burkley’s Litigation Group. He is experienced in representing various clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit strategy through trial, including successful dispositive motion practice, conducting depositions, attending mediation/arbitration, negotiating favorable settlement agreements, and appellate advocacy.

Prior to joining the firm, Joseph worked at a regional law firm as a defense attorney. With a result driven mindset, he has focused on strategically defending multiple businesses and individuals in order to reach his client’s desired outcome.

Joseph has represented nonprofit organizations, legal professionals, nursing homes, trucking companies, real estate agents, condominium associations, and various other regional businesses in a variety of disputes.  Joseph’s professional focus is in Commercial & Corporate Litigation, Professional Malpractice, Business Disputes, Consumer Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation.

Experience

  • Represented a national truck leasing company in defeating a motor vehicle accident at the onset of litigation, saving the client from expending time and resources in defending potential litigation.
  • Represented a Pittsburgh-based condominium in defeating a dispute over a purchase and sale agreement by a disgruntled prospective buyer.
  • Represented multiple healthcare professionals in board investigations made by the Department of State and prevented disciplinary action upon these professionals’ licensure.
  • Represented various legal professionals in defending claims from former disgruntled clients.
